Adur's one man hate crime wave.

Yes, we have already seen the conclusive proof of Ofcom's decision that our Council Chair's decision to claim that "Gay" and "Paedophile" were somehow interchangeable, was clearly unacceptable due to it's clear homophobic intention, we now have further proof that this relic belongs in a bygone age.

It appears that Mendoza seems to think that he's some kind of celebrity comedy genius, he has also suggested that he believes himself to be "controversial", when in reality he is just a sad reminder of the 1970s era of ignorance, and still he continues to prove that he is about as ground breaking as steam power with "jokes" like these.

He even appears to know full well that such "jokes" are not acceptable in the modern age, but doesn't care who he offends with his ignorant outdated views on humour. Well, I have news for you, Bernard Manning is dead, and a fair few of his peers are now being tried for their crimes, committed whilst under the misunderstanding that the white man was king.

Yes, apparently other people's religious views are irrelevant and should not be integrated into our culture or society according to our senior civic representative. I'm sure that all the Muslims living in Adur will be very pleased to learn that their civic leader thinks that their beliefs are merely ammunition for his childish attempts at humour that should have been buried along with Freddie Starr's career.

Even the old "Irishman jokes" get a resurgence in the ADC Chair's world.

Some would ask why the supposedly superior, fictional Englishman spent an entire year sh*tting on a board, hardly a shining example of the imperial leadership qualities that this parable is attempting to promote, is it?

I guess that, as with the "simply hundreds of gay friends", he also has many Muslim and Irish friends too, but maybe one day he might realise that when he makes comments like these towards them, their laughter is not in humour, it is in embarrassment for his inability to drag himself into the present day. I expect that he has loads of black friends too, just like all racists, maybe they'll all find this one absolutely hilarious.

Yes, he did just compare a black DJ to a cup of hot chocolate, apparently this DJ is a "friend" of his, although I'm not sure that he would approve of this comparison or the one where he is referred to as a "boy DJ".

This idiot really belongs in a museum, he is nothing more than a relic of a bygone era of ignorance and division. He definitely doesn't belong in the position of what s essentially Mayor of our town, and if he represents the people of Adur, then they need to wake up and notice that it isn't the 1970s anymore and this sort of shit has been unacceptable and illegal for many years now.

If he wants to distribute this kind of filth, then he should limit it to when he is in the local Conservative club with his fellow councillors and other assorted boggle eyed bigots in attendance, it has no place being distributed publicly by our civic leaders, who despite his belief, are legally viewed as being in this role 24/7 whether they like it or not, that was what they accepted when they took the oath of office. Maybe he should have actually read and understood that oath, instead of using the ceremony to promote himself rather than the role of Chair, but then self promotion is always the order of the day with the local Tory party, just look at our MP.

I expect that all of his countless friends within these minority groups will support him though, although they never seem to do it themselves, only through him, one could be fooled into thinking that they might not even exist.

One thing that is notable by it's absence, is any "jokes" about Jews, maybe as he appears to have more friends in this group than all of the others combined, he should be knocking them out like it's going out of fashion, I'm sure that, just like all the other minorities, they wouldn't take offence........

There's a warm welcome awaiting new Adur residents.

It looks like the Shoreham By Sea lynch mob Facebook group has pulled off a coup tonight.

Earlier tonight, someone posted this on their page:

I assume that this person was referring to the posts on the digital spy forum, regarding the alleged "hacker" involved in this......

.... although I'll be damned if I can track down any relevant documents relating to the arrest, charging or conviction of this "hacker", who allegedly accessed Mendoza's webcam and caught him allegedly engaging in a bit of a "Leslie Grantham" style action and allegedly posted it on MySpace.

Anyway, the Shoreham group are so enamoured with Mendo that they started really laying into this individual, and claiming that a free thinking individual with child safety concerns is obviously in league with myself or my partner. It seems that this is quite common place in a lot of child safety cases, we experienced the same witch hunt by ADC when we raised child safety concerns regarding one of their pals and his unhealthy interest in filming and photographing other people's kids. Yet it still comes as a surprise to many that when the truth about Savile came out, it was an outrage that nobody expressed concerns at the time.

It seems that they were extremely pleased with abusing this innocent person, expressing their concerns.

Aside from continuously spelling my name incorrectly, they failed to notice that this person created their profile months ago, before they moved here, and was innocently concerned about their kids safety, as were we a couple of years ago. Well done lynch mob, you just abused a person new to the area, who now knows just what some of the local residents are like.

Looks like it's pretty standard in Adur, that being concerned for you kids safety is met with stiff opposition and a truck load of abuse.

Well, we welcome you to Adur Jimmy, even if the facebook group are being nasty to you, it's what they do, don't take it personally, if an idiot hates you, then that's a good thing in my book. Just remember, the locals are quite happy to act as a lynch mob towards anyone who stands up against the local politicians, because they are excellent at doing what politicians do, (I don't mean being honest upstanding representatives of the people) and they excel in manipulating gullible fools to abuse anyone challenging them, or questioning their extremist right-wing views.

Token gesture to travelling communities

After all of the repeated political posturing and abuse directed at the travelling communities from our local politicians, they seem to have come up with a solution, a completely flawed solution, but a solution all the same.

So, finally a transit site is proposed, after years of local politicians being told that this was required, and some underhanded statements from our local MP, pretending to support this measure and I note that has now even deleted the discriminatory statements from his website, maybe someone had words? Anyway back to the transit site.

Looks like Timbo's claims that a site "need not be luxurious" has definitely been borne out, as this is on an industrial estate on the outskirts of Chichester, and a whole nine pitches? Nine, for the whole of West Sussex. How exactly is that going to make a substantial difference? Whilst I accept that it is a step in the right direction, and may well be suitable for Chichester, what about Adur? As the main problem seems to be that the local councillors and Timbo are repeatedly going on about only objecting to "illegal encampments" in Adur, and all the while they are claiming community integration by making sure that any groups of travellers visiting Adur will continue to be using "illegal" sites. So Tim's hotline will still be in place, as will his "welcoming committee" and abusive anti-traveller rhetoric.

I can't recall a travelling community of less that nine, visiting Adur in the last couple of years, so this will not work as a transit site for Adur, the site in Brighton is more than twice the size, and half the distance from Adur, maybe ADC could work with Brighton Council instead, after all, they regularly seem to want to work out of the area more than they do within it's borders.

Integration by means of exclusion will not help anyone, but that's the Adur Tory way, and until we vote them out, nothing will change.
