Being ranked in a relatively low position in order of profit made, is meaningless in real terms, as other factors need to be addressed, a rank position judged by profit per 100 residents per sq mile of area covered, or other such means would be far more useful. Obviously I can't be arsed to do all the maths for that, so I looked at the councils ranked either side (274 and 276) and clearly the simple ranking by amount of profit made, is clearly useless, Take a look at the area covered by our closest neighbours in the list.
Yes, to Adur's 16.14 sq Miles, the council that made slightly more has 145.8 sq miles, and the one just below has 225.2 sq miles of area in which to make profit from parking.
Adur is a very small district council and so should be much farther down this list in order to suggest that this is a good thing, but facts are never that important to the numpties who can only judge success by quoting misleading statistics.
